We continue to partner with Hand in Hand, a non-profit organization, which is the only agency in the country of Belize to assist children with HIV/Aids. Children need multivitamins with iron. JADE provides same.
We are pleased to announce that for the 2022-2023 school year, JADE is paying tuition for 21 students who are attending high schools and primary schools.
JADE provides semi-monthly sewing classes for ladies and young girls. It has been an adventure for many of them as they learn to sew for the first time, turning a piece of cloth into a shirt, blouse, or dress.

Applications are accepted after an informational meeting about JADE's commitment to higher learning. Families can apply for financial assistance to pay for tuition. Assistance is provided based on the amount of money collected and or pledged between January and June.

Members of the community who need food are referred to JADE; others contact JADE directly. After completing an application and participating in an interview, applicants who are approved receive food for three consecutive months. After that time, they can reapply, if they continue to need assistance.

Hunger is Not an Option
JADE's volunteers and directors go out into the community and meet with the people. They offer counseling services and provide spiritual growth information. Tutoring for students is available upon request. Sewing classes are offered twice a month. Women's Small Groups (Bible Study) meet weekly. In the future, CPR and First Aid classes will be offered.
